We had such an enjoyable weekend getaway at the Ritz Coconut Grove. This time we thought it would be fun to take Emma and my parents along. We were guaranteed connecting rooms and Emma had her crib and baby amenities ready. The location was great, a short walk to Coco Walk, a collection of shops restaurants, bars and movie theater.
Our rooms were very comfortable and I requested feather free which was done with out a problem. When we walked into the room a stuffed lion was waiting for Emma with a handmade card. Emma very quickly befriended her new cuddly lion! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom nicely appointed. Some of the furniture was ready for refurb but not so much that it was terribly noticeable.
The service across the entire hotel was so hospitable and made us feel welcome. Check in with joe was warm and welcoming… The bellman was very friendly…. Our pool butler extremely accommodating. We had a pool cabana for the day and loved the option to sit in the shade with a cold bottle of Figi water always at our fingertips. Emma enjoyed the pool as always and entertained us all while playing with cups and ice on the pool deck.
We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Breakfast was choice of buffet or menu a la carte. I chose the buffet while others ordered omelets off the menu. We had lunch poolside which was a great idea although we waited a bit too long, and Emma getting close to her nap time got a bit fussy so Will and I took our lunch up to the room. All ended well and after her nap we went for another dip in the pool.
Following lunch the executive chef surprised us with an assortment of deserts which were delicious! We had a couple other wonderful meals at Coco Walk. We ate dinner at Jaguar a Latin American restaurant with a very fun Latin flair. It was very family friendly although that night my parents watched Emma while we had a date night. This was complete contrast to Gigi which did not even have highchairs but the food was amazing!
Overall it was a great weekend of relaxation and great food!
